Today was a very sad day for us. Our pet dog passed away after being hit by a car about a week ago. She was aged for a dog - 15 1/2 years old, which in human years is about 105 years. She was only a mongrel with no pedigree, but we loved her. She had been ailing for several months getting periodic seizures. She had cataract in both eyes and had lost some teeth, but she was our pet. Well loved and cared for especially by Pam. She was a bilingual dog- she understood clearly when we spoke to her in English and others spoke to her in Tamil. She was the best watchdog on the whole street and in this was appreciated by all our neighbours. She was our sentry whenever we left town and no security guard could have matched her watchfulness.
We contacted a couple of vets who predicted that her end was inevitable and nothing could be done for her. But she was our pet and it was a sorrowful time as we buried her in our backyard. Her name was Pebbles for as a puppy her white skin had brown "pebbles" all over it. Over the years the pebbles became patches but she was always Pebbles to us.
Pam is taking it badly. Pray for her. Pray for us.

So sorry to hear about Pebbles. I know she was always a part of the conversation when talking about home. 15 years is a fixture in anyones life! She was blessed by your care and was a blessing to you in return.
may god bless the departed dog
